Payment Options

Safety is our #1 priority at Hawkins County Gas.  We strive to make our customers feel comfortable and safe at all times.  In the event of an emergency, call our 24-hour emergency line at (423) 272-8841 or (423) 357-8585.  If your call is not answered please dial 911 and report your emergency.

Hawkins County Gas offers a variety of methods for our customers to pay their bills.  Listed below are the current payment methods:

You may mail your payment to us via the U.S. Postal Service, UPS, or FedEX at the address below.  We encourage customers not to send cash by mail.

DROP BOX

Need to make your payment after hours?  We offer convenient drop box locations at both of our offices for you.  Checks or money orders only.

  • Rogersville Office

On-time payments are accepted at the following local banks:

  • APEX Bank

  • First Community Bank of East Tennessee

PAY ONLINE

You can pay your bill online 24 hours a day by using the "Pay My Bill" link in the upper right-hand corner of our website.  

A Convenience Fee of 2.95% of the payment amount with a minimum of $2.50 will be charged for all payments made using this service.  The Convenience Fee is a fee charged by a third-party vendor and will show up as a separate charge on your bank or credit card statement.

PAY BY PHONE

You can pay your bill by phone 24 hours a day by calling either of our offices at (423) 272-8841 or (423) 357-8585.  It's a convenient way to pay your bill on your own time with no waiting.

BANK DRAFT

Did you forget to make your payment?  Automatic Bank Draft is a great option to have your payment automatically deducted from your bank account and you will never have to worry about being past due again!  Click here to download a bank draft authorization form or come into one of our offices and sign up today!

BUDGET BILLING

Budget Billing allows our natural gas customers to average out your gas bill and take control of your monthly expenses.  Your equal monthly payment is based on your last twelve month's usage.  Any merchandise or service payment is in addition to your gas budget amount.  The program allows you to pay your gas bills in 11 equal payments (April thru February).  In the 12th month (March), we reconcile your monthly payments with your actual charges.

We will continue to read your meter each month.  You will still receive a monthly bill for your gas, along with a running total of how much gas you are actually using each month, and any additional charges.

You must pay the monthly budget amount in order to remain on the plan and avoid disconnection.  You may discontinue budget billing any time.

An adjustment to your budget amount may be necessary if your gas usage or our rates vary greatly from the original estimate, or if winter weather is significantly colder or warmer than normal.

Eligibility requirements are:

  • Must be a natural gas customer

  • Your account must be paid in full

  • Your account must have 12 months of payment history

The enrollment period is March thru May of each year.  You can find out what your budget amount will be by contacting our office.

WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS IF I CANNOT MAKE MY PAYMENT BY THE DUE DATE?

Every effort is made to work with customers having difficulties paying their bill, however, it is the customer's responsibility to pay or make acceptable alternative payment arrangements with our office by the "Disconnect Date".  Once a serviceman makes a trip to disconnect for non-payment, the Reconnect Fee will apply and the only satisfactory payment arrangement is same day payment in full.
