We are delighted that you are interested in applying for natural gas service with us.  Hawkins County Gas is here to meet all of your natural gas needs by providing quality natural gas service at competitive rates in a safe, environmentally clean and efficient manner.

The majority of our customers are either residential or commercial. However, we do have some additional rate class options available to help meet specific business, industry, and non-profit needs. To begin natural gas service with us, an application must be submitted with a non-refundable $30.00 Connection Fee.  In addition to the Connection Fee, a Deposit may be required for customers with poor credit history. 

As of December 31, 2010, the Hawkins County Gas Utility District is required by federal law

(FACT ACT - Red Flag Policy) to verify applicants identity by using the following federal guidelines prior to having service connected:

  • Government issued photo ID and one of the following:

  • Original or certified copy of Birth Certificate

  • Social Security Card

  • Passport

  • Credit Card

In addition, the following documents are also required:

  • For Tenants - Fully executed lease or letter of authorization

  • For Homeowners - Proof of ownership (e.g. Bill of Sale, Deed)

  • For Agents - Listing Agreement or Management Agreement

in-person.  Connection Fees and Deposits can be mailed to our Rogersville office or paid in person at either of our offices.
